Learning with glass

Degrees – Learning with Glass was an exhibition presenting the diversity of Finnish glass education and contemporary glassmaking through the work of emerging designers and craftspeople. Curated by the Finnish Glass Museum, the exhibition brought together students from both design and vocational programmes, highlighting the breadth of knowledge and skills within the field.

The exhibition formed part of a wider international initiative supporting the recognition and safeguarding of handmade glassmaking as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Through contemporary student work, the exhibition demonstrated the continuing relevance and future potential of this specialised craft.

The project involved exhibition planning, coordination, and implementation, as well as collaboration between educational institutions, museums, and industry professionals.
