Ulpu —

Framing a single stem

Ulpu is a small vase inspired by the bud of the yellow water-lily, from which it takes both its form and its name.

Created using a steam stick technique, the vase features a gently inward-turning opening that guides flowers and branches into carefully composed arrangements. The shape naturally frames a single stem or a small selection of greenery, creating layered views and subtle optical distortions through the glass.

Both functional and sculptural, Ulpu celebrates simplicity, allowing the material, form, and contents to remain in quiet balance.

Exhibited at NoDe – House of Nordic Design during 3daysofdesign 2024, Copenhagen.
